Biography of Dr. Robert Castro:
Dr. Robert Castro is a native of the East San Gabriel Valley. He was graduated from medical school at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California in 2005. He went on to complete his training in internal medicine at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton, California.
Dr. Castro enjoyed working with medical students and residents and decided to stay on staff as an attending teaching physician for 2 years.
In 2010, Dr. Castro decided to pursue a subspecialty in cardiology. He left Southern California for beautiful Miami for 3 years at Palmetto General Hospital – NOVA Southeastern University. He then completed his last year of interventional cardiology fellowship in the Greater Chicago Area at Franciscan Health Alliance, St. James Hospital.
He has been awarded and recognized as Resident of the Year, House-staff President, and Chief Fellow, and the prestiged Golden Apple Award for dedication to medical education throughout his post-graduate training. Dr. Castro is currently accepting new patients and welcomes you to be proactive and ask any questions that you may have during your visit.
